Online Meeting:Covid-19, Racism & The Hostile Environment7pm Tuesday 7th April 2020
With Bell Ribeiro-Addy MPClaudia Webbe MPPetros Constantinou, KEERFA (Greece), Stand Up To Racism co-convenors Sabby Dhalu & Weyman Bennett, an NHS paramedic + more speakers TBC

The Covid-19 Pandemic, combined with the failure of the British Government to properly protect its population, and a major economic crash has created situation where the most abhorrent forms of racism are set to thrive.

Racist attacks against Chinese and east-Asian people are on the rise, and anti-immigrant measures have meant that migrants and refugees are at severe risk of becoming unwell and falling into destitution.

Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP has been leading calls for action on the COVID-19 pandemic since the start, as well as providing a voice against racist scapegoating & for migrant & refugee rights during this crisis.

Claudia Webbe MP has been at the front line of the anti-racist struggle for decades, as an activist, councillor and now MP for Leicester East.

Petros Constantinou is a leading activist against racism & the far-right in Greece, and is at the front line of demands for refugee rights during the crisis on the Greek border.

Join us to discuss how we can force the Government to protect the most vulnerable, and build the broadest most powerful movement against racism as this crisis unfolds.

Help keep the anti-racist movement going!

In difficult times, we need a vibrant and active anti-racist movement more than ever. In the coming weeks we will be pushing the demands in our statement, producing online content to spread the anti-racist message and hosting online meetings with journalists, MPs and campaigners.
