Let’s give Trump the welcome he deserves by shutting down the UK. Mass demonstrations, school walkouts and local actions will make his trip impossible.
This week border guards shot and killed a Guatemalan woman at the US border, the same border where 1500 migrant children are missing and Trump has rehashed the idea that Mexico should pay for a wall between them. “In the end, Mexico is going to pay for the wall,” he told supporters in a campaign-style rally in Nashville, Tennessee.
The arrogance of the current US president knows no bounds. This is why we are part of Stand Up to Trump – a group made up of:
Abortion Rights • Alliance for Free Movement • Campaign Against Climate Change • Communication Workers Union • Day-Mer • Friends of Al Aqsa • Friends of Ecuador • Momentum • Morning Star • Muslim Association of Britain • Muslim Engagement and Development • National Assembly of Women • National Union of Teachers • People’s Assembly Against Austerity • Rainbow Coalition • Stand Up To Racism • Stop the War Coalition • Unite the Union • University and College Union • Venezuela Solidarity Campaign • Woodcraft Folk
We helped to form this group against everything Trump and his administration stands for. We are against racism, sexism, homophobia and every element of his bigotry and we don’t want it here in the UK.
For the upcoming visit we have united under a banner of Together Against Trump with other organisations including Stop Trump. This coalition is organising the London wide demo on 12th and national demo on 13th July.
There will be localised Stand Up To Trump and Together Against Trump events happening all over the UK during the trip – we’ll soon put up a list of the actions on this site to make it easy to find your local event.
