Over 50 Anti Racist activists from across the North West went mass leafletting in Runcorn today.
We distributed thousands of Stand up to Racism leaflets saying “Don’t Vote for Racist Reform UK” in the forthcoming by election on the 1st May.
This is the start of our campaign to stop an openly racist party, which is scapegoating refugees for the cost of living crisis, winning further seats in Parliament.
Stand Up to Racism will be organising further days of action to highlight the dangers of Racist Reform UK and their opposition to the NHS and workers employment rights.

Harlow
Seven people helped out at the Harlow SUTR campaign stall for UN Anti Racism Day. We had a good reception and gave out lots of leaflets and stickers. A number of people also signed up to be involved in future SUTR activities.

11 of us leafleted the key Reform target seat of Staveley today.Reform have been out canvassing in the area. Staveley is classic Red Wall territory ex mining community on the East Side of Chesterfield. Distributed over 1000 flyers.
Sutton
12 of us took part in a great leafletting session door to door in Sutton, South London where Reform UK are standing in the upcoming by-election
Activists from other South London areas joined in to help local people determined that Reform UK don’t make a breakthrough in Sutton.
Nottingham
18 out in total in Hucknall in Nottinghamshire – everyone felt it was a good day. Someone took 400 leaflets for his mate who said he would do his local village of Newstead.
Brighton
Brighton and Hove SUTR standing in solidarity with Eghbal an Iranian migrant whose family is being targeted by racists locally.
…we then had a unity walk to watch non league side Whitehawk FC play with a SUTR stall inside.

Oxford
Oxford SUTR – We used this to officially launch our campaign to Stop Reform in the local elections. Lots of people signed up to volunteer for leafletting door to door.
Oxford showed its best side today. Around 60 joined the #M22 rally with speakers from trade unions and music from Oxford LMHR.
Shrewsbury
Really positive response to SUTR stall and anti Reform UK leafletting in Shrewsbury today at start of our local election campaign, will be moving on to other towns in Shropshire and door to door leafletting.
