Women Against the Far Right
Don't let the far right divide us
Women Against the Far Right (WAFR) is a women-led anti-racist campaign. We came about as a response to the increasing weaponisation of violence against women and girls by the far right to whip up racism and attacks against Muslims, migrants and refugees. We campaign against the racist lies and mobilise women for anti-racist campaigns, protests and events.
We launched in September 2025 with an open letter signed by musicians Paloma Faith, Joy Crookes, Charlotte Church and Anoushka Shankar as well as Labour, Green and independent MPs including Kim Johnson, Ellie Chowns, Diane Abbott and Zarah Sultana. We have since had over 11,000 people sign our open letter.

Who we are
We are a campaign by Stand Up to Racism made up of activists, trade unionists, artists and cultural figures, feminist societies, womens groups and charities. We are proud to have the support from artists like Paloma Faith, Joy Crookes and Annie Mac.
What we do
We are launching and getting local groups off the ground across the country. We organise women's blocs and women-led protests against the far right. We campaign against Reform UK and their sexism. We produce materials to help mythbust about refugees and womens safety. We organise stalls in the local community and are involved with womens football and rugby!
What we believe
We believe trans women are women and the same people who attack women's rights also attack LGBT+ rights. We are women-led but not a "women-only" campaign. The fight against sexism, racism and the far right has to involve all of us.
