Following the shocking election of far-right figurehead Donald Trump to the US presidency, emergency protests broke out across the UK (see pic above).
Trump and his MAGA movement are drenched in racism, sexism and anti-migrant hatred as they try to redirect anger about the cost of living and inequality towards immigrants and minorities.
Trump’s election is a boost for the far right everywhere but the resistance to Trump will be widespread across the US and globally.

Leeds
Becky reports – Around 40 people joined a rally at 8 hours notice in Leeds to publicly protest the reelection of Trump behind the Leeds Stand Up to Racism banner and a freshly painted Dump Trump banner.
And well done to those who had some Trump placards leftover! We chanted “one struggle, one fight, we oppose the far right”. A number of students joined us and we gave our leaflets and got new contacts.
Thanks to those who spoke. We understand that the election of Trump could give a boost to Reform UK so the struggle against him matters here as much as anywhere!
