This weekend saw local elections in France where the fascists of Marine Le Pen’s National Rally saw their vote increase yet again.
But Le Pen can be stopped – and so can the far right here.
This weekend campaigners were out distributing tens of thousands of leaflets, posters and stickers to build the Together alliance demo, planned for London on Saturday 28 March.
This demo is going to be big! The biggest mobilisation against the far right in a generation. The hundreds of people that packed into mobilising meetings for the demo in Wales at the weekend are testament to that.
This week antiracists and antifascists were on the streets, protesting against Farage in Swindon and shutting down the fascist National Rebirth Party in Coventry.
Our movement is growing. We can stop Farage and Reform UK at the ballot box and fascist Tommy Robinson when he takes to the streets again on Saturday 16 May.
But to do that we need your help.

Swindon comes out in number against Farage
Counter Protests
Women Against the Far Right Scotland
We showed up in Falkirk once more to support Falkirk For All on the week that we celebrated International Women’s day.
About 75 anti-racist activists were present at the Cladhan hotek and we had some fantastic speakers from local activists and from our organisation. We also paid respect to all women who died in 2025 as victims of gendered violence.
For the last seven months, far-right groups have been protesting outside the Cladhan hotel, intimidating not only anti-racist activists, but also the refugees that reside in that hotel. Over the past few weeks, local anti-racists have had to escort refugees from the local mosque back to the hotel, as they have been victims of horrible abuse and persecution by the same far-right groups.
Women Against the Far Right Scotland have been consistently present in Falkirk, showing our support to the local community groups.
We reject hate and division and we will continue to stand together against far-right intimidation
Newcastle
At the blue carpet today there were about 40 on our side and about 25 of the FR. There was lots of talk about the Together March and people were arranging meet ups etc. Many leaflets were handed out to passers by.
Stand out protestors today were a bunch of young skateboarders who verbally challenged the far right. They then talked to people on the counter protest and took leaflets and stickers.
Although the Blue Carpet is a counter protest, it also functions as a meeting place and a means of engaging the wider community with anti racist activism.
Wakefield

Around 60 far right on Wakefield today of which 15 plus Youtubers. Similar numbers on our side. Steady flow of people coming up and joining off the street . Quite a few new SUTR sign ups and lots of interest in the 28th .
Coventry
Well done to The Albany Theatre for acting quickly to remove extremists from the National Rebirth Party from their premises today, after they had hired out the space under false pretences.
Thank you to all the dedicated local activists who took the time to phone up the theatre and inform them of the true, disturbing nature of the meeting, as well as those who went along to make it clear that fascists are not welcome in Coventry.
We urge all local venues to take note and be vigilant about verifying bookings from unknown groups – the far right are making it a tactic to lie in order to take advantage of our community spaces.

Cardiff – Launch of Together Alliance Cymru

Great day in Cardiff 300 coming together to launch the Together Alliance Cymru.
From Leanne Wood:
Ninety years ago this coming June, Oswald Mosley’s British Union of Fascists attempted to hold a rally in Tonypandy in the Rhondda.
They were met with 6,000 anti-fascist protestors made up of miners and local people who said “no pasaran”. The rally did not go ahead and Mosley didn’t attempt to rally in the Rhondda again.
Nearly a century on, the same arguments that were deployed by the British Union of Facsists then, are being used today, and for the same reasons.

Monitoring Group Overview
Counters
There were fewer far right protests this week than we have seen recently.
Southampton still keeping up the fight, grinding away at the rag bag of far right that are still there.
Newcastle still maintaining the weekly counterprotest at the Blue Carpet and building anti racist resistance in the process.
Wakefield matching the far right in numbers there this week.
Other far right protests
Whilst still maintaining regular anti asylum protests in Chestnut the numbers are now down to about 10 this week. Local SUTR is building in the wider area.
In Crowborough the anti asylum march was sizeable again this week but not larger than previously.
Building Together
SUTR groups have been involved in the large number of events this Saturday for the Together day of action with leafletting, postering and even a cavalcade of cars in Haringey! Up and down the country people have been out building for the 28 March.
Massive well done to antifascists in Coventry who got the fascist National Rebirth Party shutdown & kicked out of their venue in the city! A bad day for Hitler look alike Alek Yerbury & his Nazi mates!
In Bristol the far right Patriots group has partially collapsed and certainly split.
Activists from Bristol have submitted this report:
Bristol Patriots in major retreat
On Monday 9th March Bristol patriots posted on their social media that they were shutting all their social media accounts and taking a break from activity to have a re-think.
Whilst the Patriots may not have been finally defeated, their organisation is clearly splitting and they are weak and divided.
Every protest they have called has been met with a counter demonstration of anti racists with SUTR at the centre of it. SUTR and other anti racist forces have always got to the space the Patriots were going to assemble at early, preventing them from assembling as they wished.
Every counter protest has outnumbered the Patriots by at least 5 to 1.
Last summer the Patriots were calling “protests” every 2 weeks. This went to every month, and then every 2 months. They abandoned “protests” outside hotels, as we always prevented them from getting there.
We held a Bristol Together unity event that mustered 1500 to 2000 anti racists in celebration of the diversity of our city.
The Patriot “unity protest” on 7 March was clearly Islamophobic from the start, with their flyers citing all other major religions as welcome, but not Muslims. On the day they mustered half their normal 40 to 50. Bolstered by the Bristol Together event anti racists numbered 400 to 500 with good cooperation from all antifascists in Bristol.
Heavily surrounded by police the Patriots moved off, only to be effectively kettled by anti racists. Police broke this kettle and facilitated the Patriot march towards a major shopping area.
SUTR stewards moved the anti racists ahead of the Patriots and once again blocked their path. Eventually the police admitted defeat and took the Patriots back to their assembly point.
The controversy around self confessed Nazi Ryan Ferguson being on the Patriot march has clouded the reality, the Patriot retreat is overwhelmingly down to being outnumbered and outmanoeuvred, never achieving what they wanted from their “protests”.
Forthcoming Events
Key next week will be the counter protest against the fake priest Tenconi and UKIP in Liverpool.
Watch out for forthcoming protests agains Farage and Reform.
