| On the 5th September, Chris Kaba, an unarmed black man, was shot dead by the Met Police. Since then, the Kaba family have relentlessly campaigned for a homicide investigation to be launched, which they have now achieved. The 6,000 strong protest march, called by the family and their supporters, through central London last Saturday shows the impact it makes to demand justice. On 13 September, the officer that shot Chris Kaba dead was officially been suspended. However, this is just the beginning of a long road towards securing a prosecution and a guilty verdict. Chris Kaba’s family have called a day of action for Saturday 17 September.
