Waters was supposed to be speaking at a fund raising event in the city on the day.
Stand up to Racism Milton Keynes had a good presence in the city centre to send out a public message of unity and solidarity in the fight for social justice and a better world.
And we’ll be there next time, bigger and bolder, if the far-right come to Milton Keynes to sow intolerance and discord.
