London Recruits is an important award-winning anti-apartheid film to help promote this November.
The latest episode of the podcast Union Dues calls for trade unionists to help promote a new film, London Recruits, which won Best Documentary 2024 at Joburg Film Festival, about part of the secret war against South African apartheid.
Find out more on Wikipedia about London Recruits (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Recruits_(film)): a docu-drama “inspired by the true story of how the ANC recruited volunteers in Britain in the 1960s and 70s, at the height of apartheid, to travel to South Africa for undercover missions. The film features interviews with surviving recruits, ANC Comrades and South African security forces, interspersed with archive footage and dramatic reenactments”.
