After the success of the Stand Up To Racism trade union conference, and counter demonstration opposing fascist ‘Tommy Robinson’ on 23 February, there’s less than three week’s to go to build the mass turn outs we need on the UN Anti Racism Day demonstrations, 16 March, in London, Glasgow and Cardiff. This is a day of international protest to get the voice of the anti racist majority out on the streets to drown out the divisive and dangerous hate being spread by a far right growing in confidence.
What’s happening on the day?
London – 12pm, Park Lane, W1
Glasgow – 11am George Square, G2 1DH
Cardiff – 11am, City Hall, CF10 3ND
International coordination will see demonstrations alongside those in Britain taking place in: the US (New York & Washington DC); Brazil; Germany; Austria; Poland; Hungary; Greece; Catalonia & Spain; Denmark; Netherlands; Ireland; France; Turkey; Australia; Canada. See the new international joint website hosted by all the organisations involved. It has an interactive map showing where demonstrations are taking place globally.
We are agreed on the shared hashtag:
#WorldAgainstRacism See shared Facebook page with publicity for demonstrations, international call for action around UN Anti Racism Day, and updates
