Football Lads Alliance leader John Meighan backs Trump in Britain First tweets row

The founder of the Football Lads Alliance (FLA) John Meighan, has backed Donald Trump is his row with Theresa May over re-tweeting fascist Britain First tweets. Meighan says Trump was “on the money” when the US President was rejecting criticism of his outrageous backing for a group whose name “Britain First” was shouted out by the killer of Labour MP Jo Cox.

Meighan and the FLA say they oppose all extremism. But Meighan is backing Trump who is stirring up fear, racism and Islamophobia.

The FLA has now announced a series of marches in February (in Newcastle in alliance with Veterans Against Terror) and “the North” in March and May 2018.

In the wake of Trump’s tweets Theresa May must withdraw the invitation for a state visit now.
