Coats4Calais: Help keep a refugee warm this winter
Right now in northern France, 2000 refugees are sleeping rough.
Temperatures are rapidly dropping, and police actions against refugees are worse than ever.
Many are facing a long, cold winter without even a decent coat to keep them warm and dry.
So this year our goal is to provide each and every one of these refugees with a warm winter coat. And to do this we urgently need your help.
We’re asking everyone who cares to look in your cupboards for a winter coat that you no longer wear.
Then donate your coat at your nearest drop-off point and we’ll make sure it gets to Calais, to someone who needs it. Follow our progress on social media with #Coats4Calais – you might even spot your coat getting its second life!
If you don’t have a coat to donate you can buy a coat to keep a refugee warm all winter for just £25 here
To start a collection download a poster or leaflet here and see here for more information.
Let’s keep everyone warm this winter!
