Stand up to racism was launched at the UN Anti-Racism Day demonstration in 2013 to bring together people from across all walks of life to challenge racism.
More than 20,000 people took to the streets of London on last year’s march sending a clear message to our government – that refugees are welcome here and that we oppose attempts to use racism to divide us. Now, more than ever, we need your help!
Tackling racism has become one of the key concerns of the last year following the spike in hate crime after the EU referendum, the election of Donald Trump as US President and the growth in support for the far-right across Europe.
This year’s demo is backed by the TUC. The protest will come just as Theresa May will invoke article 50 to trigger “Brexit” in March 2017, which the government is likely to couple with the question of immigration by continuing to scapegoat migrants and refugees. Help us to respond by ensuring our 18th March demonstration is the biggest antiracism demonstration in decades.
Your donation will mean we can cover the costs of this year’s demonstration, including stage, PA system and publicity etc.
