Around 100 people marched on Sunday 10 June in a display of unity and solidarity after a racist attack on a mother of 3.
They marched from St Osmunds Church to a vigil which was taking place at Pabury Way.
Neil from Bolton Stand Up To Racism (SUTR) said it was organised collectively with the “brave women of Breighmet…standing up to the race haters”. He also thanked support from community groups, families, Bolton Unison and the Trades Council, as well as local councillors.
There were speeches made by local residents and representatives about how we tackle the spike of hate crimes in their community.
We know these attacks don’t represent the vast majority of Breighmet people and the local support has been fantastic.
