women against the far right 13 sept demo
Led by Women Against the Far Right, national demo forms up in Russell Square, London, to protest against Tommy Robinson’s ‘Unite the Kingdom’ hate march on 13 September 2025

On Saturday 13 September we saw the biggest Far Right march in British history led by fascist Tommy Robinson and backed by Elon Musk the world’s richest man.

The protest was the violent culmination of a second summer of protests against asylum seekers, fueled by the rhetoric of Reform UK, the Tories and sadly by the Labour government – with Keir Starmer’s “island of strangers speech”.

While not everyone who came to this demo was far right, it was led by them and the attendees are responding to their messaging. We need to isolate the far right and win people away from them.

Because refugees are not to blame for the lack of housing or NHS waiting lists. And the likes of Elon Musk and his rich friends on both sides of the Atlantic rake in billions and trillions while working people’s lives are getting worse – the enemy doesn’t arrive by dinghy, they arrive in a multi million pound yacht.

With Reform surging in the polls and the Far Right mobilising on the streets it’s crucial that we build the biggest possible movement against the Far Right.

Unite against the Far Right – Refugees are not to blame!

Model Motion

This branch/committee/region/campaign notes:

1) That the “Unite the Kingdoms” demonstration organised by fascist Tommy Robinson and backed by US trillionaire Elon Musk on Saturday 13 September was the biggest Far Right demo in British history.

2) That the Far Right violence on the demo has been echoed by attacks on asylum seekers accommodation, mosques and a growing number of racist attacks across Britain.

3) That while of course not everyone who attended the protest is part of the organised Far Right they are responding to call out out by Robinson and other Far Right and fascist groups.

This branch/committee/region/campaign believes

1) That there is the real threat of a Reform UK government that will not just attack the right to asylum but our public services and our right to organise and protest.

2) That the Far Right are growing threat to the unity of communities and workplaces.

3) We have to win those working class people who are being influenced by the Far Right away from them. We have to unite against the Far Right and win the argument that refugees are not blame.

This branch/committee/region/campaign resolves

1) To affiliate/re-affiliate to Stand Up To Racism and to send delegates to its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 8 November.

2) To affiliate to our local Stand Up To Racism group and to nominate a delegate to sit on its steering committee.

3) To work with antiracist, trade union and campaign organisations to build the biggest possible opposition to the growth of the Far Right and win the argument that refugees are not to blame.
