“It is a disgrace that Starmer’s Labour government has invited Donald Trump for a second state visit. Trump’s support for Israel has been central to the continuing genocide of the Palestinian people.
“His deportations confirm he is a racist authoritarian at home and a warmongerer abroad. He has subjected his own citizens to huge cuts in spending on essential services, including healthcare, he has attacked minorities and women’s rights, scrapped climate and environmental protections and trampled on democratic norms.
“These are not things we should be honouring.
“Instead of bowing and scraping, we demand the government stands up to Trump by cancelling the state visit.”
