Demo organised by the People’s Assembly Against Austerity

A major ideological offensive is taking place to blame immigrants for the hardship caused by austerity and the global recession.

As well as being dangerous, this is in stark contrast to reality – migrants play a crucial role in delivering public services, and make a considerable net contribution to the UK economy through the tax system.

And as a major humanitarian crisis spreads from the middle east, it is vital that the vibrant Refugees Welcome movement expressed in massive demonstrations continues to counter the vile anti-refugee rhetoric emanating from sections of the media, and call for Britain to play its role in providing sanctuary from war and persecution.

Join us this Saturday on the Anti-Racism bloc on the March for Homes, Health, Jobs, Education to say refugees in, austerity out!
